Climate Change and Wellbeing Lab

My current research is focused on climate change and wellbeing. I’m particularly interested in the range of emotions (e.g., anxiety, grief) experienced by young people as they confront climate challenges. Projects completed in my lab are suitable for those considering careers in psychology, social work, environmental studies, and scientific communication.

Undergraduate

I regularly supervise UTSC undergraduate students in PSYD98, PSYC90, and PSYB90 supervised study projects. My current focus for undergraduate projects is qualitative studies of climate change related emotions. Email me if you are interested in applying, including (1) a short statement about your background and research interests, (2) your transcripts (unofficial is fine), (3) your resume/CV (if relevant), and (4) information about what type of course you are interested in taking, and the semesters in which you hope to take it. Please understand that positions are competitive, and I am not able to accept everyone that applies.

Graduate

I am not accepting graduate students for the 2025-26 school year.
